Cheesy Masala Papad

Crispy papad is the perfect partner for evening drinks and with the addition of cheese, it becomes an exciting fusion of flavours.

Ingredients

2 tbspOnions, finely chopped
2 tbspDeseeded tomatoes, finely chopped
1 tbspGreen chillies, finely chopped
1 tbspCoriander leaves, finely chopped
1 tspRed chilli flakes
1 tsp Chaat masala
1 tbsp Butter, melted

Method

  • Roast the papads on an open flame or a microwave until they are crispy. Set aside.
  • In a small bowl, mix the chopped onions, tomatoes, green chillies, and coriander leaves.
  • Brush each papad lightly with melted butter to add richness.
  • Sprinkle the grated Britannia The Laughing Cow Cheese Block evenly across the roasted papads.
  • Season with red chilli flakes and chaat masala for extra flavour.
  • Serve immediately while the papads are crispy, topped with an extra sprinkle of fresh coriander.

Aloo Cheese Naan

Naan is often seen as a side for curries, but this recipe is perfect to enjoy on its own too!

Ingredients

2 cupsAll-purpose flour
1 cup Potatoes, boiled and mashed
100 gBritannia The Laughing Cow Cheese Block, grated
1 tspBaking powder
1 tspSugar
2 tbspYoghurt
1 tbsp utter, melted
1 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Coriander, finely chopped
1 tspRed chilli powder
1 tsp Garam masala
As neededOil or butter

Method

  • In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Add the yogurt and knead the mixture into a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • In another bowl, mix the mashed potatoes, grated Britannia The Laughing Cow Cheese Block, coriander, red chilli powder, and garam masala to form the filling.
  • Divide the dough into small balls. Roll out each ball into a small disc, place a spoonful of the potato and cheese mixture in the centre, and fold the dough to seal the filling.
  • Gently roll out the filled dough into a naan shape.
  • Heat a pan on medium heat and cook the naan for 2-3 minutes on each side, brushing with butter, until golden brown and puffed.
  • Serve the Aloo Cheese Naan hot with a side of chutney or enjoy it as part of your festive platter.
