French Onion Toasties
French onion toasties made along with cheese cubes and caramelised onions are great for a weekend evening snack.
Ingredients

4 | Bread slices (any type) |
1 cup | Cream cheese |
2 tbsp | Butter |
3 | Onions, thinly sliced |
1 tsp | Dried thyme |
1 tbsp | Olive oil |
To taste | Salt and pepper |
Method
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter with the olive oil. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally for about 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low and sprinkle in the dried thyme. Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Continue cooking the onions, stirring every 5-7 minutes, until they become deeply golden brown and beautifully caramelised.
- While the onions caramelise, preheat your oven or toaster oven to 200°C. Lightly toast the bread slices until golden brown.
- Spread a layer of caramelised onions over each toasted bread slice. Top generously with cream cheese. Broil the toasties in the preheated oven for 2-3 minutes.

Method
- Preheat your air fryer to 200°C
- Cut the mozzarella cheese into sticks or slices.

- Dredge the mozzarella sticks in the flour, then dip them in the beaten egg, and finally coat them in the panko breadcrumbs. Be sure to coat the cheese sticks evenly.

Method
