Baked Cheese Spinach Samosa

Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredients |
225 gms | Britannia The Laughing Cow Cream Cheese |
250 ml | Spinach, shredded |
½ tsp | Garlic, minced |
1 | Egg |
1 tbsp | Water |
20 | Samosa pastry strips |
125 g | Flour |
60 ml | Water |
To Taste | Salt |
To taste | Pepper |
Method
- In a mixing bowl, combine Britannia The Laughing Cow Cream Cheese, spinach, garlic, salt, and pepper. Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing and squeeze out all excess water from the spinach for the right consistency.
- Preheat your oven to 200°C. Lightly grease a baking sheet with oil and set it aside.
- Place a samosa pastry strip vertically on a flat surface. Add 1-2 tsp of spinach-cheese filling at the bottom corner. Fold the strip diagonally over the filling to form a triangle. Continue folding alternately until a triangular parcel is formed. Seal the final flap using the flour-water paste.
- Fill and fold all samosas in the same manner. Ensure they are tightly sealed to prevent the filling from spilling during baking.
- Arrange the prepared samosas on the baking sheet. Brush both sides lightly with the egg wash for a golden, glossy finish.
- Bake the samosas for 10-12 minutes or until they are crispy and golden brown. Rotate the tray halfway through for even cooking.
- Remove the samosas from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve immediately with your favourite dip or chutney.
