Cheesy Tandoori Gobi
Tandoori gobi with cheese is a perfect appetiser for cheese lovers. This dish is not only vegetarian-friendly but also packed with flavour and nutrition from the cauliflower.
Ingredients

1 | Medium cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets |
1/2 cup | Yoghurt |
1 tsp | Ginger-garlic paste |
1 tsp | Red chilli powder |
1/2 tsp | Turmeric powder |
1/2 tsp | Cumin powder |
1 tsp | Garam masala |
1/2 tsp | Chaat masala |
1 tbsp | Lemon juice |
To taste | Salt |
1 tbsp | Oil |
1/2 cup | Mozzarella, shredded |
As needed | Fresh coriander leaves, for garnish |
Method
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the yoghurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric, cumin powder, garam masala, chaat masala, lemon juice, and salt.
- Mix well to create a smooth, aromatic marinade.
- Add the cauliflower florets to the marinade, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Cover and let the gobi marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or set up a grill to medium-high heat. Lightly grease a baking tray or line it with foil.
- Spread the marinated cauliflower florets on the prepared tray, drizzle with a bit of oil or melted butter, and bake for about 20 minutes, turning once halfway through.
- Remove the tray from the oven or grill, sprinkle the cheese generously over the florets, and return them to bake or broil for an additional 5-7 minutes.
- Take out the cheesy tandoori gobi, garnish with freshly chopped coriander, and serve hot with a side of mint chutney or yoghurt dip.
