Method

  • To prepare this easy fish Kolkata-style fish at home, start by washing and drying the fish. For the marination, add salt and juice of gondhoraj lebu, and keep it aside for 1-2 hours.
  • Now, add green chilli paste, ginger-garlic paste, coriander paste and grated mozzarella cheese into the mixture. Don’t forget to add lemon zest for a tangy essence. Keep it aside for another half an hour.
  • On a plate, take bread crumbs and put the fillets on it one by one. Coat it well and give a good shape to it. Place the fish fillets in the fridge for 3-4 hours so that it turns out to be crispier when fried.
  • Finally, crack open an egg and whisk it with salt. Dip the fish in egg and roll it over the bread crumbs again. Egg washing is important before frying the fish and shaping it again. Remove the excess bread crumbs and fry them in oil. Serve with salad and kasundi, enjoy!
