Ingredients:
For the Paneer Filling:Quantity | Ingredients |
200 g | Paneer, cubed |
1 tbsp | Vegetable oil |
1 tsp | Cumin seeds |
1 | Onion, finely chopped |
1 | Tomato, finely chopped |
1/2 tsp | Red chilli powder |
1/4 tsp | Turmeric powder |
1/4 tsp | Coriander powder |
1/4 tsp | Garam masala |
to taste | Salt |
1/4 cup | Fresh cilantro, chopped |
Quantity | Ingredients |
2 | Whole wheat tortillas |
1/4 cup | Lettuce, shredded |
1/4 cup | Cucumber, chopped |
1/4 cup | Red bell pepper, chopped |
1/4 cup | Low-fat yoghurt |
Method
- Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Sauté the onions until translucent. Add tomatoes and cook until softened.
- Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Stir well and cook for a minute.
- Add the cubed paneer and cook until golden brown. Season with salt and add chopped cilantro.
- Spread yoghurt or chutney on a warmed tortilla. Layer with lettuce, cucumber, red bell pepper, and the prepared paneer filling.
- Fold the bottom edge of the tortilla over the filling, then fold it in the sides. Roll the tortilla tightly to enclose the filling. Serve immediately.
