Cheese Corn Chaat

This delightful snack made with corn, spices and the goodness of Parmesan cheese can become favourite for both adults and kids.

Ingredients

2 cupsSweet corn kernels, boiled or steamed
½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 tbspButter
1 Small onion, finely chopped
1Small tomato, finely chopped
1-2 Green chillies, finely chopped
2 tbspCoriander leaves
1 tspChaat masala
½ tspRoasted cumin powder
½ tspRed chilli powder
To taste Black salt
1 tbspLemon juice
As neededSev
As neededPomegranate seeds

Method

    Boil or steam 2 cups of sweet corn kernels until tender. Drain the water and set the corn aside.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the boiled corn and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sautéed corn with finely chopped onions, tomatoes, and green chillies.
  • Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of chaat masala, ½ teaspoon of roasted cumin powder, ½ teaspoon of red chilli powder and black salt to taste.
  • Grate ½ cup of Parmesan cheese over the spiced corn mixture. Gently toss everything to melt the cheese slightly from the heat of the corn.
  • Squeeze 1 tablespoon of lemon juice over the mixture and toss again.
  • Garnish with sev or pomegranate seeds. Enjoy.
