Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread Recipe
This Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread is a perfect fusion treat. Soft, golden brioche buns are filled with a rich, creamy cheese centre, and coated in a garlicky, buttery glaze that is simply irresistible.
Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredients |
6 | Medium bread buns |
350 gms | Britannia The Laughing Cow Cream Cheese |
3.5 tbsp | White sugar |
70 gms | Butter |
2 tbsp | Garlic, minced |
1.5 tbsp | Milk |
1 tbsp | Mayonnaise |
3 tbsp | Dried parsley |
1 | Egg, beaten |
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine the Britannia The Laughing Cow Cream Cheese and white sugar. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved, creating a smooth, sweetened cream cheese mixture. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag and set it aside for later use.
- Warm a pan over medium-low heat. Melt 20 g of butter in the pan and add the minced garlic. Gently sauté, ensuring the garlic softens and releases its fragrance without browning. Once done, remove from the heat and set aside.
- In a separate small bowl, place the remaining 50 g of butter. Melt it either in the microwave (approximately 30 seconds) or on the stovetop. Ensure the butter is fully liquefied before proceeding to the next step.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C. In a clean bowl, mix the sautéed garlic, melted butter, 1.5 tbsp milk, 1 tbsp mayonnaise, 3 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp dried parsley, and 1 beaten egg. Stir everything together until fully combined, creating a smooth garlic butter custard. Set this mixture aside.
- Carefully slice each brioche bun into 6 even sections, making sure not to cut all the way through. The base of the bun should remain intact so that the sections stay connected, making it easy to stuff the buns with the Britannia The Laughing Cow Cream Cheese filling.
- Place the sliced buns on a flat surface or cutting board. Carefully pipe the cream cheese mixture into each of the sections, filling them generously. Repeat this step for all 6 buns.
- Dip the cream cheese-filled buns into the garlic butter custard mixture, ensuring each bun is thoroughly coated. Place the buns on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- For an enhanced visual effect, pipe a small amount of the remaining cream cheese filling onto the centre of each bun, highlighting the creamy interior.
- Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes, or until the buns turn golden and the cheese filling begins to melt and bubble. Once baked, remove the tray from the oven and allow the buns to cool slightly, for about 5 to 10 minutes.
- These buns are best enjoyed warm or at room temperature. The combination of creamy Britannia The Laughing Cow Cream Cheese and garlicky butter will make each bite irresistible!
