Cheese Masala Dosa

Made with the goodness of cheese, this delicious South Indian crepe is perfect to enjoy for your morning meal. Make cheese masala dosa for breakfast at home with this recipe.

​​Ingredients for aloo bhaji:​

2 tsp oil, ½ tsp mustard seeds, ½ tsp jeera, pinch of hing, ¾ tsp urad dal, ¾ tsp chana dal, few curry leaves, ½ onion finely chopped, 1 inch ginger finely chopped, 1 green chilli finely chopped, ½ tsp turmeric, salt to taste, 2 potato boiled & peeled, ¼ cup water, 2 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped, 1 tbsp lemon juice

​​For dosa​

2 cups dosa batter, 4 tsp butter, ½ cup cheese cheddar or mozzarella

​​Step 1​

Using the bhaji ingredients, make the potato mixture and set it aside.

Start by heating the griddle on medium-high heat.

Pour a ladleful of dosa batter onto the griddle and spread it in a thin circular motion to form a large circle.

Allow the dosa to cook until the top dries out. Place a dollop of butter on the dosa.

Add a tablespoon of prepared aloo bhaji over the dosa and spread it evenly.

Generously grate cheese over the dosa. Continue cooking until the bottom of the dosa turns golden brown.

Roll the dosa along with the cheese and bhaji, then cut it in half. Serve the cheese dosa immediately with chutney.
